Zelda Dearest was such a delightful place to stay. We booked it for a night while going to a concert at The Orange Peel and had no idea it was literally right next door—an unbeatable location. Breakfast was fresh, healthy, and seemed to feature organic, locally sourced ingredients, and the coffee was great. The room felt luxurious with high‑end amenities and those amazing bathrobes. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend if you want a comfortable stay while exploring downtown Asheville.

A strange place as I wanted to love it but its lacking some basics. Rooms are beautifully furnished but have more air con units than ever seen hence there's a constant rumble from the AC. Lack of any night staff , security gates and a contact person who works for Zelda is unacceptable for me. Thankfully the lady at the Radical was able to help but ut was stressful when I needed assistance late at night. For $250 per night it shouldn't be a stretch to have a night porter. Speakeasy bar is excellent and the bar staff were friendly but clearly stretched. Overall a positive place but needs a bit of a rethink re its security at night . If I was a solo female traveller I would not feel safe with open street access to all areas and no staff.

I love staying at boutique hotels and this hotel encapsulates why. Fantastic location makes everything downtown easy to walk to. We stayed for two nights and didn’t move our car until we left. Whoever decorated the hotel clearly had a degree in interior design as no details were overlooked. Jake, the manager, made me feel right at home with his curated cocktails from the bar. He also provided an abundance of local recommendations for things to do/places to eat. Breakfast was brought in from a local pastry chef I believe— amazing. Zelda Dearest will be my first option when I come back to Asheville.

Hosted our small wedding here and everything surpassed expectations. The rooms or gorgeous and nicely appointed. The grounds were clean and well manicured. Most importantly the staff was top notch. Everyone we encountered was professional yet warm and welcoming however Ignes, Jake, Garrett and Ashley were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make us and our guests welcome and taken care of! Highly recommend and I can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful, beautiful boutique hotel a year ago 2025 and will be returning 2026 and whenever we are in town! It was gorgeously decorated, clean and it gave everything it was supposed to give for a relaxing get away. The breakfast was a delicious variety for all dietary restrictions which was a plus for us. I can not leave out the outstanding customer service provided by the two ladies that were on duty! They were sweet and graciously accommodating, even upgrading our room for my comfort!! This will always be my go to hotel. It’s in walking distance of many restaurants and shopping as well as artistic finds! You will absolutely enjoy your stay here.. DON’T HESITATE TO BOOK!!

We stayed in the Deluxe Wisteria room and it was clean, spacious, and well-decorated. The bed is on firmer side but comfortable. The hotel has a pretty central area where you can sit outside, and the bar and break were nice amenities to have on site. Worth noting parking is limited but we were able to grab a spot and other options are not too far away. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and slightly away from main attractions but plenty of nearby restaurants.

Had a fabulous visit - the grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are a perfect balance of being in a 100+ year old building but completely updated to modern 2025 luxury hotel standards. Service was also excellent. Fantastic vibe for a relaxing weekend and within walking distance of many restaurants and points of interest. Will absolutely be staying here when we visit Asheville again.

We stayed at Zelda Dearest for a night after our wedding, and it was everything we needed to wind down! The room was lovely, with a big comfy bed, a great bathroom, and the best continental breakfast we’ve ever had. Parking was easy! Jake, the manager on duty, was truly a highlight of our stay. We had a few last-minute wedding errands to take care of before leaving town, and he went out of his way to help us return some rentals. He also gave us an amazing dinner recommendation (Ukiah) that ended up being one of our favorite meals from the weekend. We love places that genuinely care about their guests, and this was absolutely one of them. We can’t wait to come back and would recommend Zelda Dearest to anyone looking for a special stay right in the heart of downtown Asheville.
